Program Leadership
Karim Hanna, MD, FAAFP, FAMIA
Founding Program Director
Associate Professor, Department of Family Medicine · USF Morsani College of Medicine
Dr. Hanna is a board-certified Family Physician and Clinical Informaticist. His academic interests include health informatics, primary care education, and technology-enhanced learning. He founded the USF TGH Family Medicine Residency and serves as its Program Director.

Jennifer Costa, MD

Dr. Costa serves as the Associate Program Director, bringing expertise in clinical education and a commitment to resident development.
Eric Coris, MD

Dr. Coris serves as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at USF Morsani College of Medicine, providing departmental leadership and strategic oversight for the residency program.
Kira Zwygart, MD
Vice Chair of Education

Dr. Zwygart serves as Vice Chair of Education, helping shape the educational vision and curriculum for the department.
Core Faculty
Eduardo Gonzalez, MD, FAAFP
Core Faculty
Dr. Gonzalez is a board-certified family physician and Fellow of the AAFP with extensive experience in full-scope primary care. He serves as a continuity clinic preceptor and inpatient attending.
John Petrilli, MD, FAAFP
Core Faculty
Dr. Petrilli is a Fellow of the AAFP who brings years of clinical and teaching experience to the program. He precepts in continuity clinic and supervises residents on inpatient rotations.
Amanda Dailey, MD
Core Faculty
Dr. Dailey is a family physician with interests in women’s health and preventive medicine. She serves as a continuity clinic preceptor and contributes to the didactics curriculum.
Mark Fam, MD
Core Faculty
Dr. Fam is a family physician who precepts residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He brings a strong interest in evidence-based practice and clinical teaching.
Lakshmi Atkuri, MD
Core Faculty, Pediatrics
Dr. Atkuri supervises residents on pediatric rotations, including outpatient pediatrics and newborn nursery. She ensures residents develop strong pediatric skills across all developmental stages.
Wendy Hahn, Psy.D.
Core Faculty, Behavioral Health
Dr. Hahn is a clinical psychologist who leads the program’s integrated behavioral health curriculum. She teaches motivational interviewing, collaborative care models, and behavioral health screening in continuity clinic.

Meghan Coles, MEd
Program Coordinator
Meghan manages the day-to-day operations of the residency program, including scheduling, ACGME compliance, GME reporting, and resident onboarding. She is the primary point of contact for applicants, rotating students, and current residents.
